Rivalry week did not disappoint, as it was another chaotic weekend of college football. Tennessee handled business with a 36-23 win over Vanderbilt and secured its spot in the College Football Playoff.

The Vols' win is one of only a few "expected" outcomes from the weekend. Georgia Tech took Georgia to the wire in 8 overtimes, SMU has emerged as the favorite to win the ACC, Ohio State lost to Michigan at home, and the Big 12's first-round bye looks like it is going to go to Boise State.

If conference championship weekend is anything like rivalry week, there will be more chaos in store for the six championship games this week. The ACC and Big 12 are still very much in the air, while the Big Ten and SEC seemingly know what teams will and won't be in the CFP at the end of the regular season.

Here is how the 12-team CFP will look: Power 4 conference champions receive automatic bids and the top four rankings. The top Group of Five champion is the fifth team to receive an automatic bid, while seeds six through 12 are all at-large bids. Seeds five through eight will host seeds nine through twelve in the first round.

On The Bubble

After 14 weeks of the season, Clemson is just outside the top 12 seeds. The Tigers will have to beat SMU to get into the playoffs, but depending on how the rest of the weekend goes, they could fall anywhere from the No. 3 seed to the No. 12 seed.

Alabama is on the bubble, looking for some chaos over championship weekend to help the Tide get back into the CFP. The Tide would be my No. 14 seed behind Clemson, but an SMU win in the ACC Championship Game and some extra help could get Alabama back in the top 12.

South Carolina sits right behind Alabama. It's unlikely the Gamecocks will get in over the Crimson Tide, but they are one of the hottest teams in the country as the regular season comes to an end. They are also the most deserving three-loss SEC team.

Iowa State will play in the Big 12 Championship Game and have a chance to earn its spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff. If the Cyclones can defeat Arizona State, they will likely hold the 12-seed and go on the road in round one against the No. 5 team in the country.

Week 15 in College Football

Week 15 is Championship Week across college football. There will be six games, all with CFP implications, as teams across the country look to secure their spot in the Playoff.
