Wolf was initially committed to Cal, but the NFL Academy product from London, England, flipped to the Vols after nearly 5 months. This is only Wolf's second year playing football after picking up the sport in 2024.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end joins the Vols' class as the only tight end after four-star Carson Sneed flipped from Tennessee to North Carolina earlier this summer.
Tennessee wasn't heavily involved in his recruiting process until October. The Vols offered him a scholarship on October 8, he had his official visit on October 31, and only a few days later, he made the decision to flip to the Vols.
Wolf talked about his visit and what he experienced throughout the weekend, including his first experience inside of Neyland Stadium.
"Definitely had a good visit," Wolf said. "The game was great, and it was a great day. They lost, but it was a great experience. It is the loudest stadium in the country. European fans are known for loud stadiums and great atmospheres. This showed what America and Tennessee is all about."
One factor that played into his decision to flip to Tennessee was how the Vols actively use the tight ends, including their use against Oklahoma.
"They like to use hybrid tight ends that can be violent in the running game," Wolf continued. "They want you to be able to run like a receiver, and that is a great addition to the offense.
"So them wanting to utilize a player like me more is something they talked about a lot this weekend. Definitely, what they have talked about has been facts. Ethan coming in as more of a wide out and being developed into a tight end shows the great work they do."
Wolf also shared that it is important for him to find a school that can be a home away from home. That's something Tennessee is familiar with, as the Vols' athletic department has welcomed Europeans to Rocky Top and created that home atmosphere.
“It will be a lot about football. They want to win championships. That is very important to me, but with me being from Europe, I want to have a home away from home. I want to have great relationships with the coaches, and players. That is something I would say is a big plus for Tennessee.”
Tennessee currently has the No. 8 recruiting class in the country with 24 commits in the recruiting class.
