Tennessee took the college basketball world by storm last Tuesday when they boat raced Louisville at the Food City Center. They now have a much-needed, easier game as they host Gardner-Webb at home on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
The Bulldogs are ranked 359 out of 365 Division I teams by KenPom, so the Vols are essentially playing one of the worst teams in the country. It's worth noting that Gardner-Webb is one of the fastest-paced teams in the country, so the Vols will have to watch for transition buckets. All in all, Tennessee shouldn't have any problems on Sunday afternoon. Let's take a look at three bold predictions for the showdown.
1. Nate Ament scores 20 points
Nate Ament was going through a minor slump. He was missing shots at the rim and turning the ball over wat too much. Tennessee had a week off and the timing couldnt have been better.
Ament looked great versus Louisville. He was aggressive and not afraid of contact. He finished with 13 points and did plenty of stuff that didn't show up on the box score.
Ament continues the positive trend and puts up 20+ points on Sunday.
