At this point, it's getting hard to consider 4-star tight end Carson Sneed 'committed' to the Tennessee football team. The Nashville product has been a Vols pledge since early August, but since then, teams have continued to recruit him quite heavily.
Sneed has also been taking a ton of visits, which has been a bit eye-opening. This included a recent trip to North Carolina to meet with Bill Belichick and his staff. Sneed appeared to have a great time and while he's still Tennessee-bound, he also told On3's Steve Wiltfong that he's 'open to anything' when it comes to his recruitment. Yeah, this is not a good sign at all:

4-star Tennessee commit Carson Sneed doesn't seem too firm with his decision
This is the new age of recruiting. While having Sneed on board is nice, there's still a long way to go until the Early Signing Period in December. Teams like North Carolina aren't going to stop pushing for Sneed until he puts the pen to paper.
Him saying that as of right now he's committed isn't a good sign either. Sneed is also planning to take official visits this year to Tennessee, North Carolina, Miami, Ole Miss, Colorado and UCLA. The Hurricanes and Mario Cristobal have also been showing increased interest of late too.
Sneed is ranked four stars, the No. 13 TE in the country, No. 7 player from Tennessee and No. 258 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. He has more than 40 offers to his name, showcasing just how popular of a recruit he is.
When Tennessee was able to land his verbal last summer, it sure was exciting. However, that excitement continues to wear off following his trip to Chapel Hill and the comments he delivered to Wiltfong. At this point, it's starting to feel like it'd be a surprise if he signs with Tennessee this December. Who knows, maybe Josh Heupel can keep him in the mix, but Vols fans have every reason to be a bit concerned here.
