There was already a ton of intrigue surrounding the Tennessee basketball team this weekend, as the No. 5 Vols are all set to host No. 6 Alabama. Is there a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament on the line? That could end up being the case.
The stands in Knoxville are going to be packed, but there's now an exciting new visitor on the way for the action. That'd be 5-star guard Matthew Able, who was previously signed to play for the Miami Hurricanes. However, Able recently decommitted and opened his recruitment back up. On Saturday, he'll be on hand to meet with Rick Barnes and Co., while also catching the action vs. Bama, per On3's Joe Tipton:
Matthew Able has scheduled the following visits, per source:

5-star guard Matthew Able is visiting Tennessee for the game vs. Alabama
This truly is big news for Barnes and the Vols, as Able is a sensational talent. He was also the only remaining member of the 2025 class for Miami. We don't have to tell you that things have been a bit of a mess for the Canes after legendary coach Jim Larranaga announced his retirement.
Now, though, Able is looking for a new program to suit up for and he's clearly got high interest in Tennessee. Landing the talented guard won't be easy, however, as Able is also set to take visits to Alabama and Baylor.
With all of his visits coming within a week, it's safe to assume that Able is going to look to make a quick decision here. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Able is a five-star prospect, ranked the No. 6 shooting guard in the country and No. 26 player overall. It seemed like he would be Miami-bound, but that all has changed. Will he be calling Knoxville home down the road? We'll find out soon enough.
