The Tennessee Vols were busy over the weekend hosting top prospects for unofficial visits. The top playmaker people were focusing on was no question 5-star running back Savion Hiter, ranked the No. 1 RB in the country for his class.

This of course wasn't the first time Hiter has been on campus in Knoxville for a trip. Hiter has made it quite clear that he's got high interest in the Vols and that head man Josh Heupel and his coaches are giving him a lot to think about.

At the RB position, Tennessee is no question making Hiter a top priority, as the Volunteers are hoping to beat out the other finalists. Following his short stay in town, Hiter took to social media to let everyone know he had a great time meeting with Heupel and Co. Obviously, this is a good sign for UT:

As you can see in the photo above, Hiter was all smiles posting with Heupel for a photo. There's no place like Rocky Top and Huepel is doing everything he can to let Hiter know that he'll be able to make a massive impact for the offense if he ends up committing to Tennessee.

Hiter is indeed ranked five stars, the No. 1 RB in the country and No. 1 prospect out of Virginia for the 2026 class. Throughout his recruitment, the 5-11, 200-pounder has picked up almost 30 offers. He's down to four finalists, with Tennessee, Ohio State, Georgia and Michigan still in the hunt.

Soon enough, Hiter is going to be busy taking his officials. He'll head to Ohio State on May 30, Georgia on June 6, Michigan on June 13 and then he'll close things out with one final stop at Tennessee on June 20. For a while now, it has felt like the Vols have been in a great spot to land this kid. It's too early to tell if he's leaning one way or the other, but we sure like Tennessee's chances.
