The Early Signing Period is almost here for the Tennessee Vols and Josh Heupel. While Heupel is hoping to close things out with a splash addition or two, he's also holding on with everything he's got to keep 5-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. in the fold.

Sanders is one of the top prospects nationally and the No. 1 OT for his class. He's been a UT pledge for quite some time now, but Ohio State has been putting in overtime to try and get a flip done. This included getting him on campus last weekend for the dominant win over Indiana.

The latest reports on Sanders have included him potentially leaning towards Ohio State. However, you never know what might happen with recruiting. Did Sanders just drop a hint that he's going to stay put with the Vols, though? On Thanksgiving, he posted a story on social media of him wearing Tennessee slides, which has fans convinced he'll sign with the team next Wednesday. Will that end up being the case?

Will 5-star OT David Sanders Jr. stick with Tennessee or flip to Ohio State?

Sanders is a stud of a recruit and he's got an NFL future written all over him. That's why Tennessee felt lucky to land him, but also while other schools didn't stop recruiting him following him giving Heupel his verbal. The Buckeyes are looking to convince him ahead of Signing Day.

Will Ryan Day and Co. pull off a recruiting stunner, or will Heupel and his coaches be able to hold them off? This is what everyone has in mind. It would be a massive loss for Tennessee if Sanders ends up having a last minute change of heart.

For now, though, he remains Tennessee-bound as the prized commit for the 2025 haul. Come Wednesday, we'll know for sure whether he ends up in Knoxville or not, but his latest social media post has Tennessee supporters feeling hopeful he'll stick to his original commitment.
