Tennessee had another important recruiting weekend, with Alabama commit JJ Finch one of the recruits on campus for the Oklahoma game on Saturday.

The three-star defensive lineman from Indianapolis, Indiana, spoke highly of the Vols despite being committed to the Crimson Tide.

"Rocky Top is pretty nice, real nice," Finch said after his visit. "They're up there. They're up there (at the) top, top. They're up there."

He also talked about the opportunity to come to Tennessee and immediately compete for playing time on Rodney Garner's defensive line.

"I would say just the opportunity," Finch said. "There is a lot of opportunity here, especially on the defensive line. You are going to get an opportunity here to straight up show your talents."

He also spoke highly of the coaching staff for continuing to keep in touch and recruit him even after his decision to commit to Alabama.

"They never stopped recruiting me," Finch continued. "They just tell me about the NFL and Coach G. And the process is something I take serious. Coming here and being developed would be nice."

"I will continue to evaluate everything and just see where I am at with everything personally," he said. "It will for sure come down to those two. For sure. The reason Tennessee is still in it is because I just like it up here. I have been coming up here for a couple of years now."

It could come down to what Tennessee's staff and team look like next year. Finch shared that a big factor could be who is back on Rocky Top next year, and that will play a factor in his final commitment decision.

Despite the Vols' loss and working uphill against Alabama, it seems like Josh Heupel and the Vols have positioned themselves well to flip Finch from the Tide when signing day comes around.

"Rocky Top is pretty nice, real nice," Finch said after the visit. "They're up there. They're up there — (at the) top, top. They're up there."

National Signing Day is about a month away, so the Vols will have to work fast if they want to lock in Finch by the December 3 early signing period.
