Tennessee baseball has secured its spot in the Super Regionals with its 11-5 win over Wake Forest in the Knoxville Regional final.

Wake Forest jumped out to an early lead again, but this time, Tennessee didn't wait too long to come back from the early deficit and built a lead of its own.

The Vols scored seven runs in the fourth inning behind a couple of home runs from Manny Marin and Andrew Fischer to give Tennessee a comfortable 8-2 lead.

Fischer called out Tennessee fans, asking them to show up, be loud, and do "whatever it takes" to give the Vols a home field advantage. Vol Nation brought the noise, and Fischer delivered with a big two-run home run in response to give Tennessee a big lead.

Liam Doyle was called to finish the game and record the final seven outs for the Vols. Reports came out that Doyle wanted to pitch in the winner-take-all game, but Tony Vitello might have been on the fence. It was clear, though, that Vitello wouldn't tell the best pitcher in the country "no."

Doyle shut the door on the Demon Deacons' offense, allowing no runs over the final 2.1 innings and guiding the Vols to the Super Regionals with the win.

Fischer and Doyle, two Ole Miss transfers, have become two of Tennessee's most valuable players throughout the season.

Doyle has become the best pitcher in the country, with a 2.84 ERA, over 92 innings pitched, a 10-3 record, and 158 strikeouts. At the plate, Fischer has provided some clutch hits while batting .343 on the year with 24 home runs and 64 RBIs.

Tennessee will now look to the Fayetteville Super Regional, where they will face familiar SEC foe Arkansas for a spot in the College World Series. Tennessee is 1-2 against Arkansas this season but will look to avenge their series loss earlier this year by returning to Omaha.

The series is set to begin on Friday, but as of Tuesday morning, the times for the Super Regional matchups had not been released.
