While the Early Signing Period was a huge success for the Tennessee football team, one of the disappointing pieces of news in early December was the fact that one big-time commitment decided to hold off on making things official with the Vols and Josh Heupel.

That'd be cornerback Onis Konanbanny, who committed to Tennessee on Aug. 23, but then decided he wasn't ready to fully lock in with UT. With the regular National Signing Day fast approaching in early February, it remains up in the air if Konanbanny will be Knoxville-bound or not.

One program in particular to keep a close eye on for a potential flip would definitely be the Florida Gators. Konanbanny took his official visit there in November and Billy Napier continues to make a strong push to get him to Gainesville instead. On Friday morning, Konanbanny posted a photo of Napier shooting hoops with him at his high school gym, which has plenty of people talking:

Will the Tennessee Vols be able to hold on to 4-star CB Onis Konanbanny?

Florida supporters have been strongly encouraging Konanbanny to decommit from Tennessee and roll with the Gators instead. Is this something that might end up going down? People in Knoxville sure hope not, but it really seems like the youngster is torn on what to do here.

Konanbanny is ranked the No. 30 CB in the country and No. 7 player from South Carolina according to the 247Sports Composite. Throughout his recruitment, he picked up more than 40 offers, taking official visits to Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, LSU, Utah and Florida State.

Tennessee indeed was able to pull off a huge recruiting win to earn his verbal, but nothing means anything until he signs on the dotted line. Within the next couple of weeks, everyone will know where Konanbanny will be headed, but there are certainly plenty of nervous Tennessee fans out there right now.
