Being a Vol for life is something you don't need to remind former Tennessee basketball standout Dalton Knecht about. The 2023-24 SEC Player of the Year may have only spent one season in Knoxville, but he became a fan favorite and his love for the program won't go anywhere.

He reminded everyone of that on Wednesday night. With Tennessee in Indianapolis getting ready for the Sweet Sixteen meeting with Kentucky, things timed out perfectly for the team to watch Knecht and the Lakers take on the Pacers.

Think Knecht was going to let some of his former teammates not see him play in style? Not a chance. In an awesome move, the LA rookie decided to get a suite for Tennessee so they could catch the action. Come on, this is just such a special move from DK:

As you can see from the photo and video above, the Vols players loved being able to enjoy this experience. Not only that, but LeBron James was able to give LA the win over Indiana in buzzer-beating fashion, which only made things better for the entire group.

Now that some fun is out of the way, it's back to focusing on the task at hand for Rick Barnes and Co. That task is to take down the Wildcats with a trip to the Elite Eight on the line. Come Friday night, Tennessee is going to hope to get some revenge on Kentucky and Mark Pope.

Thus far this season, the Wildcats are 2-0 against Tennessee. The Vols have posted back-to-back wins over Wofford and UCLA in the Big Dance, but its most difficult challenge is on the way against a big-time SEC rival. Knecht will be following this one closely, hoping that Tennessee can post a win and keep its remarkable season going.
