Dalton Knecht played lights out in the Los Angeles Lakers' most recent win over the Boston Celtics. The rookie and former Tennessee star has shown flashes of elite offensive play throughout the season, including two dominant shooting performances in the past three games.

Knecht shot 75% from the field against the Celtics and finished the night with 13 points, but it was an impactful 13 points off the bench. He shot five of seven from the field and three for four from three-point range.

Lakers social media shared some of Knecht's made three-point shots from the Celtics game, with the term "Dalton Buckets" to go with some key shots throughout the game.

This performance comes four days after another quiet yet efficient performance against the Clippers. Knecht scored ten points while shooting three-for-four from the field and two-for-three from three-point range.

While Knecht doesn't perform well in every game, he is turning into the Lakers' most efficient and effective contributor off the bench. It's unlikely he will break through into the starting lineup anytime soon, but we're less than a month away from the All-Star game, which is when contenders need to turn it up a notch.

Knecht can do that for the Lakers off the bench, and he has shown he has the potential to be one of the best bench players in the league, but he needs to put together these types of performances more consistently before the Lakers consistently put the ball in his hands night in and night out.

The Lakers are first in the Pacific Division and are preparing for a Saturday night matchup with the Golden State Warriors. That game will be on ABC with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 PM ET.
