Tennessee wide receiver Dont'e Thornton is making final preparations for the 2025 NFL Draft as one of several Vols hoping to be drafted in this year's draft.

Thornton originally committed to Oregon out of high school and spent half his college career with the Ducks, but he took off once he arrived in Knoxville.

He spent two years at Tennessee, totaling 886 receiving yards and seven touchdowns with 1,426 yards and ten touchdowns in his career.

Thornton had his best season of his career this past year as a senior, totaling 661 yards and six touchdowns. He was a deep threat and consistent target for Tennessee and will have a great opportunity to translate his skills to the NFL.

Tennessee is going to miss not having Thornton in the receivers rotation, especially as they look to replace a lot of production out wide with him and Bru McCoy both graduating.

Thornton can brag about one statistic, which puts him with one legendary wide receiver. According to Sleeper Titans, he's one of two 6-foot-5 wide receivers to run a 4.35-40 yard dash or faster, joining longtime Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

That is some serious company to join and could be a positive sign of Thornton's potential in the league. Thornton is expected to meet with the Titans soon, so he could stay in the Volunteer State if the Titans take him in the draft.

The 2025 NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24 through April 26 as teams look to fill out their rosters ahead of the summer.
