When it comes to recruiting, the only certain thing is that nothing is certain. Over the years, there have been plenty of odd recruitments when it comes to Tennessee football, and when the dust settles, the Legend Bey recruitment might go down as the most polarizing one.

Legend Bey was committed to Ohio State before flipping to Tennessee on signing day, despite being decked out in Ohio State gear. Bey then posted and deleted messages on social media that his mother forced him to sign with Tennessee, and that he didn't want to be a Vol. Rumors circulated on social media that his mom met with Tennessee before signing day and possibly forged Bey's signature. He was then working out in Ohio State gear and kept doubling down on the fact that he wanted nothing to do with Tennessee.

Well, it looks like all the drama is over. Tennessee has officially released Legend Bey from his letter of intent, according to Adam Sparks of Knox News.

The most likely scenario now is that Bey ends up playing for the Buckeyes in Columbus.
This process has only gone on for a couple of weeks, but it feels like years. It surely isn't fun losing a talented player like Bey, but at the end of the day, it was just too much of a headache. Hopefully, Bey is where he wants to be and can stop the distractions and just play ball.

Like I've said before, Tennessee has one of the deepest wide receiver rooms in the nation. They will be just fine. Wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope has done a fantastic job recruiting and developing his room, so Tennessee fans shouldn't be worried one bit.

This also seems like a great time to remind Vols fans that Tristen Keys, a 5-star wideout, just signed with Tennessee, and he's shown no signs of wavering. SEC Freshman of the Year, Bralon Staley, is also coming back next fall. The room is deep, and Josh Heupel schemes his players open.

It hurts losing Bey, but it was never meant to be.
