Former Vols RB's first pitch at Cubs game was so bad he demanded a second pitch

Alvin Kamara has been a star for the New Orleans Saints since being drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft with the 67th overall draft pick. Since his breakout at Tennessee, he has rushed for 6,779 yards and 60 touchdowns in his eight seasons with the Saints.

He has earned five Pro Bowl nominations as well as being named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017. Even the best NFL players can't be great at everything, though.

Kamara is in Chicago with NASCAR for the weekend to kick off festivities for the first-ever Chicago Street Race. As a way to promote the race, Kamara visited Wrigley Field to throw out the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game on Saturday.

It wasn't a great first pitch, though. In fact, it was so bad he shook off the Cubs mascot and demanded a redo to throw a second pitch during pre-game festivities. The second pitch was much better.

Kamara is a lifelong Cubs fan, so this is a full-circle moment for him while he is in town for the NASCAR event, even though he still plays for the Saints and is locked in with New Orleans through the 2026 season.

His appearance at the Cubs game has already sparked some conversation about possibly coming to Chicago and joining the Bears' roster.

While the Bears currently have D'Andre Swift holding down the backfield, I'm sure they wouldn't mind adding Kamara to the roster as another dynamic skill player to help out Caleb Williams.

As for now, Kamara is still in New Orleans for at least the next couple of years and continues to be one of the top VFLs in the NFL, representing the Vols.
