Former Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is looking to improve his stock on the New York Giants' depth chart as we head into fall camp.

Hyatt struggled with consistency last season, catching eight passes for 62 yards on 19 targets. The New York Post shared that this is a reason why his name started to slip down the depth chart.

As a result, he has spent this offseason putting on muscle and preparing his body for a more physical approach to his playing style ahead of the 2025 season.

"For me, it's just executing, being consistent, making plays that come to me," Hyatt said about his offseason transformation. "I'm not really worried about any rotations."

Giants' quarterback Russell Wilson shared his thoughts on Hyatt and spoke highly of the young receiver. Wilson believes he could be a big part of the Giants' offense moving forward.

"Jalin Hyatt, he's a guy who was a super-high draft pick, he's so talented, and he's got so much ability, and I think he's going to really shine for us," Wilson said about Hyatt. "I think he hasn't done what he's wanted to do yet, but I think part of that is just the dialogue between me and him is so close, and just all the communication that really showed up in the offseason."

Hyatt didn't wait too long to show what he can do for the Giants' offense this season. On day two of fall camp, Hyatt caught a pass from former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart for a touchdown.

Hyatt could take the next step in his career and solidify himself as a key piece of the Giants' offense while scoring his first NFL touchdown. Alternatively, if he continues struggling with consistency, he may need to look for a new team to join in the future.

He is signed to the Giants through the 2026 season with his four-year $5.6 million rookie contract. His contract is small enough that the Giants could release him without taking a significant hit, or he could become a popular trade piece in future deals.

Hopefully, though, Hyatt breaks through the inconsistencies he struggled with last year and becomes a pivotal piece for New York this season.
