The smile in the photo above says it all.
Once again, despite countless people doubting Tennessee and Rick Barnes, the Vols were able to post another upset win and the SEC powerhouse is one victory away from making history. That's right, the Final Four is within reach, but the Michigan Wolverines are standing in the way.
Felix Okpara has an emphatic Elite Eight message for Vol Nation
It's not going to be easy, we all know that, as Michigan is among the favorites to win it all. Yet, you can never rule out Barnes, who is loving life right now. After taking down Iowa State, Barnes reminded us all of that, providing an emotional message on what this March run means to him:
The #Vols are onto their 3rd straight Elite 8. Before Rick Barnes came to Tennessee the program had only made one Elite 8.

Coach Barnes on sustaining success:
"I don't know. I am not sure what it is other than the fact that God has blessed me with a great job, good players..." pic.twitter.com/uWkXadbzkA
Rick Barnes had a tear-jerker message after Tennessee took down Iowa State
"I don't know, I'm not sure what it is other than the fact that God's blessed me with a great job, good players," Barnes said. "We have 11 new ones this year and we do have a standard on a lot of things, not just what we do on the basketball court. We're pretty much a no-nonsense program and we talk about that through the recruiting process. We tell everyone it's going to be tough. We want them to come and help them live their dreams and along the way we'd love to have the chance to play for a national championship."
Get us fired up, coach. At the same time, those words from Barnes likely have countless Tennessee fans feeling pretty dang emotional too. This is a special group and not many people outside of Knoxville gave them a chance to get back to the Elite Eight.
Now, a dance with the No. 1 Wolverines is on the way and yes it's not going to be easy, but dare to dream? Tennessee has never reached the Final Four and the scenes of Zakai Zeigler apologizing to Barnes last year after an Elite Eight loss is still fresh on a lot of minds.
The Vols were so close, but couldn't get the job done. Will history repeat itself, or will this team overcome adversity and take down one of the best teams in the country? It's going to be a battle, but Barnes will do his best to get things done. And if he does, it will be the best possible outcome for a Tennessee legend who deserves all the praise and love he's currently getting.
