Tennessee football is working hard to keep in-state talent in the Volunteer State, including rising star Miles Brown.
The defensive back from Martin, Tennessee, received an offer from Tennessee and shared his excitement about being offered by the Vols.
Brown discussed the offer with Volquest, stating it is a dream come true to receive an offer from a school like Tennessee.
"It is great," Brown shared about being offered by Tennessee. "I have always looked up to a school like Tennessee, so it is just great hearing this news. Really, it is a dream come true. You always dream about this stuff so for it to come true is great. This place is just great, so to be a part of it would be so special."
The Westview High School defensive back is preparing for his Junior season this year and will likely receive a lot of attention from Power Four programs until he makes his decision on Signing Day next year.
One reason that he is interested in Tennessee is the culture and atmosphere built under Josh Heupel. The Vols' head coach is known as a players' coach, and it has shown how that translates to players moving on to the NFL and leaving Rocky Top with a degree.
"The atmosphere is great, and I know they have a great education system and graduate a lot of kids," Brown said. "You always want to be able to get an education, and obviously, they are good at football."
While Tennessee doesn't have any commits in the 2027 recruiting class yet, the Vols have the No. 12 recruiting class for 2026. North Carolina five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon headlines the class with five of the eight verbal commits consisting of blue-chip athletes.
