For the first part of the Tennessee football season, there have been several injuries on the defensive side of the ball that have been a bit of a concern for head man Josh Heupel. This has included key defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs being out due to a stress fracture in his foot.

Hobbs suffered that injury in August, keeping him off the field until then. However, is he going to be ready to suit up following the bye? Things sure look that way, as the starter took to social media this week to drop a major hint that he's going to be ready to rock against Arkansas.

Tennessee DL Daevin Hobbs has hinted he'll be back for the Arkansas game

We don't have to tell you that this would be fantastic news for the Vols, as Hobbs is a force in the middle of the trenches. Not having him on the field for the first five games, including the loss to Georgia, has been a bummer, but he's coming back at the right time.

He's not the only one on the verge of a return for Tim Banks and his defense. As things stand, all signs are pointing to All-American cornerback Jermod McCoy also making his season debut in Week 7 against the Razorbacks.

McCoy suffered his torn ACL while training back home in Texas, which has opened the door for Colton Hood and true freshman Ty Redmond to man the spots on the outside. Hood has been playing at a first-round NFL Draft pick level, while Redmond doesn't look like someone who recently graduated high school.

Having McCoy back in the fold is going to be incredible for the secondary, while Hobbs retaking his spot in the middle of the d-line will be great to see too. The Vols are starting to get healthy and that's bad news for the rest of the SEC, particularly Arkansas for Oct. 11. We've talked about the Bama game on Oct. 18 too, and having both Hobbs and McCoy back in action is something that can't be overlooked.
