This is how you get the job done with your new team. We're almost running out of good things to say about Tennessee football quarterback Joey Aguilar. In the Week 1 win over Syracuse, the App State/UCLA transfer put on a show that fans everywhere loved.

Now, some national recognition has come in for the veteran signal-caller. On Thursday, it was revealed that Aguilar took home Manning Award QB of the Week honors after what he was able to get done against the Orange. After throwing for 247 yards and three touchdowns, it's no surprise that the rest of the country is taking notice of his game:

Joey Aguilar had a dream debut for Tennessee football and people are noticing

To start things off against Syracuse, Aguilar was a bit shaky throwing the ball. Hey, it might have been some early-game jitters that he was dealing with. However, it didn't take long for him to get into a groove and start throwing the ball all over the field.

In the 45-26 win to open the campaign, Aguilar indeed was terrific and head man Josh Heupel had nothing but good things to say about him. Aguilar won over even more fans right after the final whistle too, sharing just how much it meant to him to make plays for the Vols.

Come this weekend, Aguilar will be getting ready to make his home debut at Neyland Stadium. More than 100,000 people will be on hand to give him the Knoxville welcome that he's been waiting for. He'll be ready to thank everyone on hand by putting together another strong performance.

With East Tennessee State next on the schedule, it's safe to assume that another big day will be on the way for Aguilar and the Vols offense. Aguilar is going to have countless people watching him, but UT supporters have all the confidence in the world that he'll look strong once again. Should that be the case, a 2-0 Tennessee team will then get ready for Georgia in Week 3.
