The holiday season has just gotten a little bit better for Tennessee football fans. There is one thing that every fan loves, and that's a game wrecker off the edge. Well, Andrew Rogers is just that, and he's very high on Tennessee.
Rogers is an absolute beast off the edge, standing at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds, with elite size for the position. Right now, Rogers has decommitted from Virginia Tech and could find his new home soon.
Rodgers has reported to Rivals' Chad Simmons that the Vols are right up there at the top and that Tennessee is a "crazy place" and "the hype is real."

Can Tennessee land Andrew Rogers?
It's never easy to land a 4-star recruit, but it sounds like there is a real possibility that Tennessee makes a run at Rogers. He just decommitted from Virginia Tech, but they just hired James Franklin, a great recruiter despite his flaws in big games, so I'm sure the Hokies will try to get him back in the fold.
He isnt wrong when he says Tennessee is a crazy place. Neylan is one of the best crowds in all of college football, and recruits love the idea of playing in front of that crowd every Saturday.
The Rivals industry ranking has Rogers rated as a 4-star recruit and no. 282 in the nation. He holds offers from Notre Dame, Florida State, South Carolina, LSU, Georgia, and plenty more, so getting a flip here would be massive.
Rogers is a big defensive end who put up some fantastic numbers this fall. In 14 games this fall, he had eight sacks and 13 TFLs, and won back-to-back state titles with Grimsley High School, the same school that 5-star signee Faizon Brandon goes to.
Hopefully, Brandon is helping recruit Rogers to Knoxville and letting him know how great the Big Orange Nation is.
In the 2027 class, the Vols have four commits, and only one defensive lineman, so more bodies are needed in the trenches. Josh Heupel has a lot of pressure to have back-to-back top 10 classes, so getting a talented blue-chipper like Rogers will certainly help obtain this lofty goal.
