Perhaps lost in the frustration of the Tennessee football loss to Alabama on Saturday was the fact that standout quarterback Joey Aguilar got banged up in the middle of the action and he was dealing with a neck injury. Thankfully, it's nothing serious to worry about.

Tennessee's College Football Playoff hopes could come down to this 1 game

Aguilar spent some time in the medical tent and team trainers were spotted massaging his neck. While speaking to the media on Monday, however, head man Josh Heupel said that there will be no limitations for the veteran QB moving forward and that he's going to be 'good to go' for the upcoming showdown against Kentucky at Neyland Stadium:

Joey Aguilar injury update: Vols QB will be good to go to take on Kentucky

Obviously, this is a major sigh of relief for the Tennessee faithful, as Aguilar has been so much fun to watch this season. He originally got hurt after fighting for extra yards down in the red zone - there's no question sliding on runs is going to be a focus for him at practice this week.

Next up for Tennessee is a road matchup at Neyland Stadium against the Wildcats. Mark Stoops and Kentucky are once again struggling, which has led to even more calls to come in for him to get fired. Stoops and his players will look to stun the Vols in front of their home crowd.

This is of course an opportunity for Tennessee to bounce back in a needed way. A win will also keep them in the College Football Playoff hunt, while a shocking loss will close the door on any hope of the Vols getting back to the CFP for the second consecutive season.

Following the recent loss to Texas, Kentucky is 2-4 on the year. Not much has gone right for the Wildcats this campaign, but they'll be focused on doing whatever they can to mix things up and surprise Tennessee on both sides of the ball. Heupel will have his guys focused and knowing Aguilar isn't dealing with an injury setback is of course huge for his offensive gameplan.
