This is the Oklahoma nonsense all over again.

Whenever Tennessee football and Florida face off on the gridiron, there's always plenty of drama. This is a fantastic SEC rivalry that everyone looks forward to each fall. And once again, the Vols faithful can't wait for these two to take the field come Nov. 22.

Tennessee officially loses elite football commit to Ohio State

However, no one knows exactly what time kickoff will be and we won't know for sure until this Sunday. On Monday, it was announced that the Vols and Gators are going to get started either at 3:30 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. ET, or 7:30 p.m. ET. Hey, thanks for this. It's not like anyone is trying to plan ahead or anything!

There's no set time yet for when Tennessee and Florida will face off on Nov. 22

We understand that there are a lot of different things that go into these decisions, but this really is not doing people who plan to make their way to Gainesville any favors. From our chair, the best start time would be 3 p.m., as the Vols surely don't want to deal with a night game crowd at Florida.

However, there seems to be plenty of worry that maybe a contest under the bright lights indeed is going to be on the way. Regardless, Joey Aguilar and the Vols are going to be ready to take care of business on the road and make the season even worse for Florida.

Things have been quite rough for the Gators this season, as they've limped their way to a 3-6 record, including a brutal loss to Kentucky this past weekend. Last month, the university decided enough was enough, with Billy Napier getting fired.

Tennessee is a bit down in the dumps after the loss to Oklahoma ended its CFP hopes. Despite that, Josh Heupel has said his guys aren't going to stop fighting and there's still plenty to play for in '25. That includes a huge showdown with Florida, where Tennessee will be at its best no matter what time kickoff is announced for. Still, leaving things up in the air like this is quite frustrating.
