Early on in her tenure as the head coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols, there's no question that Kim Caldwell has proven that she's an ace recruiter. She has posted some incredible recruiting wins, which was once again the case on Saturday.
With College GameDay on hand for the Tennessee vs. Georgia showdown, 5-star power forward Oliviyah Edwards decided that she had seen enough. That's right, the 6-3 PF announced on Twitter that she's shutting down her process and that she'll be Knoxville-bound for her college career.

5-star PF Oliviyah Edwards has committed to Kim Caldwell and the Tennessee Lady Vols
This is sensational news for Caldwell and her staff. Edwards is one of the top prospects in the country for her class, ranked five stars, the No. 1 PF in the land and the No. 5 playmaker overall for 2026. As you might have been able to guess, every big program wanted her.
In the end, it looks like the newest Vol commit was down to Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina and USC. According to her 247Sports profile, Edwards is scheduled to take official visits to South Carolina and LSU in the future, but now that she has committed to the Vols, it's up in the air if that will still happen or not.
Regardless, it's safe to say that Knoxville being turned up to a new level for the Week 3 matchup between Tennessee and Georgia on the gridiron made an impact on Edwards. Oh, keep in mind that Vols legend Candace Parker is also on campus.
Edwards, a Tacoma, Wash. product was able to see first hand that the support for Tennessee is tough to match and now she'll be excited to be a part of things next year. Edwards becomes the first-known commit for Caldwell's 2026 haul, but you already know that she's going to be working overtime to land more elite prospects in the near future. The Edwards news sure sets the tone for the rest of the class.
