Whenever Tennessee Lady Vols legend Candace Parker speaks, you know it's time to listen up. Parker will go down as without question one of the best basketball players to suit up for the Volunteers of all time. Her resume is unreal, as she was the National Player of the Year twice and helped UT win two National Championships.

Now that she's retired after an epic career in the WNBA as well, Parker has some more time to sit back and see what her alma mater is getting done on the hardwood. That of course includes checking out new head coach Kim Caldwell.

The season got off to a perfect start for the Lady Vols, with the team going 13-0. However, there's been a bit of a setback, with back-to-back losses being posted against Oklahoma and LSU, respectively. Parker doesn't care about that, as she's showing her full support in the job Caldwell is getting done leading the program:

The fact that Parker said, "I would want to play for her" on social media is pretty dang awesome. What started this was Caldwell's response to the team's two straight losses to the Sooners and Tigers. In the loss to LSU, it was an 89-87 thriller.

Earlier in the week against Oklahoma, Tennessee fell just short again, losing 87-86. This team indeed is only a few points away from being 15-0 on the year and from being ranked one of the top squads in the country. That's something some people might deem as a positive, but as Caldwell noted, it's not good enough.

The Lady Vols will have a great chance to bounce back on Sunday, as Arkansas is next up on the schedule. Caldwell is a bit frustrated following the way things have gone of late, but there's no doubt she's got this team looking like a serious threat whenever they take the floor. Parker knows Caldwell is the right person to get Tennessee women's hoops back where it needs to be too.
