Hey Lane Kiffin, how about you back off, dude? Kiffin is of course no stranger to the Tennessee football team, as he was the head coach for the Vols in 2009 before abruptly bolting for USC. Now at Ole Miss since 2020, Kiffin is looking to give Josh Heupel a problem out on the recruiting trail.
Since early August, tight end Carson Sneed has been a Tennessee commit. If Kiffin has his way, though, a flip will be on the way soon. That's right, Kiffin and the Rebels are hosting Sneed for an unofficial visit this weekend. Not only that, but Sneed has locked in his official visit at Ole Miss for May 30 per his 247Sports page:

Tennessee TE commit Carson Sneed is on a visit with Ole Miss
Ole Miss isn't the only school that Sneed is meeting with. He has officials set with UCLA, the Rebels, Miami and then one with Tennessee on June 20. That trip to Knoxville could end up making the difference in the Vols keeping him in the fold, as Sneed is certainly on flip watch moving forward.
A 6-5, 235-pounder from Nashville, the in-state talent is ranked four stars, the No. 14 TE in the country, No. 7 prospect from Tennessee and No. 259 player nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.
Throughout his recruitment, Sneed has picked up offers from 41 programs. Earlier this week, Sneed also took a visit to meet with North Carolina. Last weekend, he met with Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Yeah, he's been busy.
As for Kiffin, he'll look to turn the Tennessee commit's head during this unofficial visit and then he'll also look to do more of the same when Sneed is back on campus for his official in late May. Right now, it looks like Heupel and his staff are facing stiff competition to keep this kid on board for the '26 class.
