Mike Keith's call of Tennessee's scoop-and-score TD at MSU was beyond electric

Keith has been incredible as the new Voice of the Vols.

While the defense gave up 34 points in the overtime win at Mississippi State, don't forget even for a second that the unit also put two scores up on the board for Tennessee football. First, cornerback Colton Hood came down with an interception that he took back to the house.

Tennessee football LB might be the most underrated player in the country

In the second half, Tyre West and Joshua Josephs teamed up for an epic play. Yup, West flew into the backfield and lit up quarterback Blake Shapen, who then coughed up the ball. Josephs was there to pick the pigskin up and then rumble his way down the field for six. Mike Keith, the new Voice of the Vols, was on hand in Starkville and his call of the Josephs scoop and score was one for the ages:

Joshua Josephs and Tyre West still have people talking after the Tennessee win in Week 5

"Tyre West hit him - Josephs picks up the gift and RUMBLES to pay dirt," an excited Keith said. "Tennessee back in front as they're stunned in Starkvegas."

Get us fired up a few days after this one went final, Mike! When it was announced that Bob Kesling was going to retire after the men's basketball season, plenty of Tennessee supporters were down in the dumps. However, Keith has been the perfect one to step into the role.

With him being a UT alum, he knows what it's like to bleed orange and you can tell how much he cares about Tennessee with each call that he makes. It was easy for him to be so jacked up for that Josephs score, as it was easily one of the best moments of the day. Take a look for yourself:

Following that win over Mississippi State, Tennessee is now 4-1 on the year and the Vols remain the No. 15 team in the country per the latest AP Top 25 poll. After the bye, Arkansas will be making the trip to Knoxville for its first game after firing Sam Pittman.

Something tells us the Vols will put on a clinic on both sides of the ball. Keith better rest up his voice for Oct. 11, as he'll be working overtime with Tennessee set to dominate the Razorbacks at Neyland Stadium.
