While plenty of Tennessee Vols fans can't wait for the fall to get here for the new football campaign, hoops action will be getting started not too long after. It goes without saying, but people can't wait to see what the newcomers can get done in 2025-26, including forward Nate Ament.

The 5-star playmaker surprised a lot of people when he ended up signing to play for Rick Barnes and the Vols. He's already on campus working overtime in getting his mind and body ready for the college level. Tennessee did everyone a solid and posted a team workout clip for everyone to enjoy. Ament was of course featured and he wasted no time getting people excited about his future in Knoxville:

Tennessee fans can't wait to see 5-star forward Nate Ament in action this season

A mid-range jumper started things off, then Ament connected from distance. To close out the clip above, the true freshman flew high into the air and threw down a jam with style. He of course isn't the only big-name addition, as expectations are high for Maryland transfer Ja'Kobi Gillespie and others.

With Ament, he became the highest-ranked commit in Tennessee hoops history. According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-10, 185-pounder is ranked five stars, the No. 2 power forward in the country and the No. 4 prospect overall for the 2025 class.

Throughout his recruitment, the McDonald's All-American picked up nearly 30 offers. In the end, the Virginia product decided to put the pen to paper with the Vols over additional offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, Duke and plenty of other powerhouses.

Soon enough, the regular season will get here and the pressure is going to be on for Ament to live up to the hype. Are there going to be some freshman struggles early on in his career? Of course, that's a given. However, he also has what it takes to not only be a stud in Year 1, but also help Tennessee try to reach the Final Four for the first time ever.
