The The Tennessee basketball team beat Miami (OH) on Friday evening, but freshman star Nate Ament left the game early. The good news is that he wanted to come back in, but the trainers advised him not to go as the Vols were up big and it was time to start the recovery process, and at that point it looked like the Vols had it in the bag.

Ahead of the Virginia game Ament said “I wanna give them everything I have and do something that's never been done here before, and that's...Final Four, National Championship.”

Nate Ament will do whatever he can to win the Vols a title

The first step to winning a national title is Tennessee making a Final Four. If the Vols can pull this off it would be a very successful season. Ament will do anything to make sure the Vols and Rick Barnes are successful.

The Vols are favored in Vegas but this will still be a battle. I love the fact that Tennessee is favored but the Cavaliers  are not the best matchup for Tennessee. Virginia will defend the paint well and stop second chance conversions two places where the Vols try to succeed when on offense.

If Ament is 100% they can definitely win and even if he’s not I still think Tennessee has a very good shot. They don’t have to be perfect, but the bigs need to finish inside.

Ament will be big too, as it will take the pressure off of Gillespie in the Round of 32 that will be a massive help.

The fact that Ament cares enough is huge. Many top picks would just shit it down and look forward to training for the draft, but not Ament. He loves this school and this program and Vols fans cannot thank him enough.
