ESPN, CBS Sports, and Pro Football Focus have all been over NFL Draft coverage, and Tennessee will have quite a few top picks when the draft comes around in April. Josh Heupel has done a very good job at getting Vols players to the next level, and it's not stopping anytime soon. Let's take a look at where Tennessee's top draft prospects have been landing on NFL Draft big boards,
Chris Brazzell II, WR
Big board ranks:
ESPN: 47th OVR, 8th WR
CBS: 38th OVR, 7th WR
PFF: 75th OVR, 11th WR
Brazzell is a guy who needs to perform well at the NFL combine. His big board rankings are all over the place, and ESPN has him as a borderline round one guy, whereas PFF has him as a third-rounder. If he can run a fast 40-time, he will shoot up the draft boards. Brazzell's greatest asset is his elite size at 6-foot-5 and his large catch radius downfield. He will surely make any quarterback at the next level very happy with his ability to make tough catches and be a mismatch for cornerbacks.
Colton Hood, CB
Big board ranks:
ESPN: 35th OVR, 6th CB
CBS: 56th OVR, 8th CB
PFF: 47th OVR, 6th CB
Hood being taken in the first round is a very real possibility, but once again, not all outlets agree on where he stands. He is an elite corner in man coverage and is a vigorous playmaker on the ball. He posted eight passes defended in 2025 and was a huge part of Tennessee's defense during his final season. Hood had a good performance at the Senior Bowl and will need to continue this upward trajectory going into the combine.
Jermod McCoy, CB
Big board ranks:
ESPN: 20th OVR, 2nd CB
CBS: 9th OVR, 1st CB
PFF: 11th OVR, 1st CB
Jermod McCoy is the consensus top cornerback in the NFL draft. He did miss all of last year with a torn ACL, but that hasn't scared away NFL scouts; instead, he's actually been rising up big boards. McCoy had an amazing 2024 with the Vols, posting seven passes defended and four interceptions. McCoy, right now, is Tennessee's only first-round lock.
