With the way the Tennessee football team has been looking this season, you'd think the Twitter trolls would be silent. However, that hasn't been the case for the Volunteers and redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Iamaleava, a former 5-star signee, has impressed in his first full season starting.

However, there have also been some times where throws have gone away from him. Still, there's no reason for anyone to send him a message with hateful words, especially not a former Tennessee player. This was the case in the Vols' thrilling win over Alabama earlier this campaign.

In the middle of the action, former Tennessee walk-on Clay Keaton decided to blast Iamaleava with a hurtful DM. Well, Tennessee went on to win the game and Iamaleava is a big reason why the team is ranked No. 7 in the country. Unfortunately for Keaton, Iamaleava's dad saw the message and decided to put him in his place. Goodness:

Nico Iamaleava's dad isn't going to let social media trolls go after the Tennessee QB

Yeah, that's not a good look for Keaton. According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, Keaton indeed is a former Tennessee walk-on. He was previously on staff for Waverly High School as a football assistant, but according to The Tennesean, he's not coaching for the program this year - Iamaleava's father probably had no idea about that when he sent his message.

Regardless of that, let this be a lesson to everyone out there: don't go after the Tennessee quarterback because members of his family aren't going to waste any time in making you realize it's a massive error.

Come this weekend, Iamaleava and Co. have other things to worry about, as the Vols are going to be hosting the Kentucky Wildcats for a night game at Neyland Stadium. Fans are fired up for this one and the offense should have no issues moving the ball around. Iamaleava will be ready to ball out.
