It's hard to keep track of all the positive news that's surrounding the Tennessee Volunteers football program right now. Head coach Josh Heupel has this team humming on the field and the major recruiting wins keep coming in.

Such was the case on Thursday, as Tennessee is celebrating Halloween in style. While the focus is on the 2025 class, Heupel is working overtime on getting things going for '26. His latest commitment has arrived, with in-state wideout Tyreek King announcing for the Vols.

King is a 5-11, 170-pounder who is a superstar for Knoxville Catholic. The local playmaker is a big fan of the Vols, which is why he has made such an early decision to make sure he doesn't go far to play his college ball. Boom.

4-star WR Tyreek King has committed to Tennessee over LSU, Alabama and more programs

According to On3 Sports, King is a 4-star stud and the No. 6 wide receiver in his class, only making things better for Heupel. Other finalists included LSU and Alabama, while he also had offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Michigan and many others.

With King now on board, Tennessee is up to five commits for '26. The class is headlined by 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, who is the No. 1 QB in the country and the No. 1 player overall per 247Sports.

Come this weekend, there will be several big-name prospects in town. The long list includes players for both '25 and '26. Heupel is on a roll and things could get even better for him in the coming days. With a win over Kentucky, the Vols would improve to 7-1 on the year.

Fans are hopeful that an impressive win will be on the way, which would surely make a strong impression on all the recruits in town. There's plenty of momentum too thanks to the King news, but more verbals may be on the way soon.
