Stop us if you've heard this before, but former Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin is back to making headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time, quarterback Sam Leavitt is the one at the center of things, with the transfer QB previously being listed as doubtful on the LSU vs. Ole Miss injury report. Then, suddenly, on Thursday, Leavitt was questionable.
Coincidence? Not at all. This is Lane being Lane, and it's not cool at all. This is him trying to get in Ole Miss' head, which is a clown move for several different reasons. He essentially abandoned this team ahead of the College Football Playoff last year to take the LSU job.
His former players who stayed in Oxford haven't forgotten about that. Now he's playing mind games like this ahead of the Week 3 tilt? This is something that is disgusting a lot of people, and Tennessee fans should be on the list here too. No one has forgotten about his controversial past in Knoxville. Just this past offseason alone too he stole Leavitt away from UT when it looked like Josh Heupel was in the driver's seat to land him.

Lane Kiffin's act is getting beyond old for college football fans everywhere
The only thing doubtful about this Saturday is whether or not Kiffin makes it to hot yoga in time before kickoff. Just come on, dude.
As you can see in the video above, even the one and only Nick Saban has his doubts about Leavitt being injured at all. This tells you that even the GOAT college football coach thinks that Kiffin is full of crap and that no one should be falling for this act of his.
As a Tennessee fan, it's frustrating to see, especially after he bailed on the Vols in the middle of the night to take the USC job. That was many moons ago, but here's Kiffin, still with all the bright lights on him, acting a bit foolishly.
He couldn't care less about what talking heads think of him, which is a problem on its own. He'll laugh things off and smile when asked about this situation. Probably the same way he dropped his 'imagine if he had NFL players' line at halftime of smoking Clemson and Dabo Swinney. It wasn't a good look then, and now things continue to go south for him.
In a perfect world, karma will catch up to Lane on Saturday night in primetime with Ole Miss cleaning LSU's clock. It's just a bummer that the Tigers aren't on Tennessee's schedule this year, as I'd love to see nothing more than Faizon Brandon to shove 275 yards and three TDs down Kiffin's throat. We'll leave it up to Trinidad Chambliss this weekend to get that job done. Someone needs to humble Kiffin and do so with the rest of the country watching.
