Who Will Be Backing Up Dylan Sampson?

Cam Seldon was slated to be the backup running back this fall but suffered an injury in spring practice that will eat into the start of the 2024 season. The running back room outside of Sampson and Seldon is talented but unproven.

DeSean Bishop and Khalifa Keith are second-year players the staff loves but have not seen the field. Peyton Lewis is a highly-touted four-star RB who just got to campus this summer, so he will need to grow up quickly this fall to see the field in a significant role.

The Vols have been very lucky with injuries in the backfield for the most part over the last couple of years, and they won't always be afforded that luxury, so establishing your best backs in the fall will be crucial for this offense.
