Marcus Adams Jr. . . SF. player. . 540. Class of 2023. 3-star (87 Grade). Marcus Adams Jr. . Marcus Adams Jr.

Marcus Adams Jr. has only one year of college experience but has had quite the trip on the recruiting trail. He's from Harbor City, California, but went out of state in his recruitment. He was a 4-star recruit out of high school but dropped to a 3-star transfer after one season at BYU.

Before Adams ended up at BYU, he committed, signed, and enrolled at Kansas in June 2023. He entered the transfer portal a month later and packed his bags for Gonzaga. A month after transferring to Gonzaga, he decommitted and transferred to BYU, where he would spend his freshman year.

Adams only appeared in one game for the Cougars, dating back to before Christmas. He played 8 minutes against Bellarmine and recorded 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist while shooting 16.7% from the field. It was not the best debut for Adams, as he didn't see the floor for the rest of the year.

He will likely be looking to move to a smaller school for more playing time, but Tennessee could be an option if Barnes sees it as a good fit. I don't know if he's still on Barnes and Tennessee's radar, but he could be a depth piece for Tennessee if he chooses to come to Knoxville.
