Tennessee football is a storied college football program with over one hundred years of history. Some of that history includes sending top NFL prospects to the draft and developing Hall of Famers on Rocky Top.
The Vols sent hundreds of players into the NFL, with 14 drafted in the top ten of their draft. Some of those players have gone on to be quality starters, franchise players, and Hall of Famers.
Tennessee almost perfectly fits in the middle of all SEC teams in top-ten picks. The Vols are tied with Auburn for the sixth-most top-ten NFL Draft picks in the SEC. Alabama has the most, with LSU, Texas A&M, Florida, and Georgia following behind the Tide and ahead of the Vols.
It's unlikely Tennessee will add another player to this list in this year's draft, but it's not out of the realm of possibility in the next few years. The 2024 NFL Draft will take place in Detroit, Michigan, from April 25 to 27, and a few more Vols will get their opportunity at the National Football League.
