Heath Shuler had the shortest NFL career of any player on this list, only playing four seasons from 1994 to 1997. He struggled to make an immediate impact with Washington and went 1-7 as a rookie. He also finished his career with twice as many interceptions as touchdowns.
He had a career record of 8-14 while throwing for 3,691 yards and 15 touchdowns. He put together his best record in his last season. He played for the New Orleans Saints in 1997 and led the Saints to a 4-5 record while throwing 1,288 yards.
The 1993 Heisman Trophy runner-up's career ended after 1997, but he was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame for his All-SEC college play. His son, Navy Shuler, has carried on the legacy. He transferred from Appalachian State to Tennessee in 2022 and has served in a backup role since coming to Rocky Top.
