While Bert Rechichar might not be a name everyone is familiar with, you should know who he is with respect to his career at Tennessee and in the NFL. He spent ten seasons in the NFL, earning three straight Pro Bowl Selections, one All-Pro selection, and winning two NFL Championships.
The Browns drafted Rechichar, but he only spent his rookie season in Cleveland. He would spend the next seven seasons in Baltimore playing for the Colts before playing one season for the Steelers and one season for the New York Titans.
While he was primarily a defensive back, he also had experience playing offense and special teams. In 1953, he made a 56-yard field goal, which set the record for the longest-made field goal at the time.
