Tennessee baseball is preparing to face Evansville in the super regionals for a spot in the College World Series in Omaha. The Vols will host the Super Regional in Knoxville for the second straight season.

The Vols come into the super regionals after sweeping the Knoxville Regional. Tennessee is 53-11 on the year, won the regular-season SEC Championship with a 22-8 conference record, and won the SEC Tournament.

Evansville comes into supers with a 38-24 record and 17-10 conference record. The Aces came out of the Missouri Valley Conference and earned their spot in the NCAA Tournament after winning the MVC Tournament.

The Vols and Aces begin their three-game series on Friday, June 7, with the first pitch at 3:00 PM ET. Tennessee will play one of four games currently scheduled for Friday. Game one of the series will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will follow Florida State vs UCONN, which will be broadcast on ESPN.

Game two will have fans up bright and early in Knoxville and across the Volunteer State. The first pitch will be at 11:00 AM ET, giving the Vols a scheduled first pitch only 17 hours after game one. With the tight turnaround for game two, it will be important for the Vols to win game one.

The third game of the series is not set in stone on the schedule since it is an “if necessary” game, meaning Tennessee and Evansville would have to split the first two games of the series. The NCAA has game three scheduled for 6:00 PM ET on ESPNU.

Tennessee comes into the super regional round with -800 odds to win two out of three against Evansville. The Vols are also favorites to win the College World Series at +270 on Fanduel. Texas A&M has +340 odds, and North Carolina and Kentucky share the third-highest odds at +900 to win it all.
