Joe Milton and 2 other Tennessee Volunteers invited to the 2024 NFL Combine

The 2023 Tennessee Volunteers may not be very well represented in the 2024 NFL Draft or at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, after producing five picks in the first three rounds a year ago.

Last year, five former Tennessee Volunteers were selected in the 2023 NFL Draft and all three went in the first three rounds. Darnell Wright led the way as the 10th overall selection to the Chicago Bears. This year, Tennessee took a step back on the field and that will be reflected in the draft results.

Instead of Hendon Hooker still going at the top of the third round last year, Joe Milton will almost certainly be waiting around until Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft to hear his name called. Milton, who received an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, was the only Tennessee player invited to the Senior Bowl, while the two players who participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl, Jabari Small and McCallan Castles, did not receive invites to Indy.

That does not bode well for Small and Castles’s draft stock as they continue through the draft process. Their next chance to showcase their abilities to NFL teams will be at Tennessee’s Pro Day, but Jaylen Wright and Kamal Hadden have their shot to rise up draft boards at the extended job interview called the combine. Here’s the list of Vols who were invited and how to watch them.
