National Fox Sports Radio Host Colin Cowherd had a hot take on his radio show about a former Tennessee quarterback that should please many Tennessee fans.

"The 6th-round quarterback, Joe Milton, is going to probably win the job because he's the athlete; he's the bigger, stronger, faster, more dynamic athlete," Cowherd said.

Cowherd made this claim after multiple reports over multiple days that Joe Milton is outperforming 3rd overall pick Drake Maye in training camp. Tennessee fans are very familiar with Milton's talent level, and it seems he may be starting to put it all together.

Milton was a source of frustration for many fans last season, mainly because of his unreal natural ability and his seeming inability to harness it into top-tier quarterback play. In his final year with the Vols, he compiled 2813 yards on 64.7% completions with 20 TDs and 5 INTs. He wasn't a bad quarterback; he just never lived up to his potential in college.

The Patriots continue to rave about Joe Milton in training camp, and if he continues to show up, he may wind up being VFL Jerod Mayo's starting QB.
