Neyland Stadium has another new addition. This time, Tennessee football is returning to the Johnny Majors era.

Changes to Neyland have created iconic looks for the stadium. Whether the university has added or taken away something, it often creates an iconic look.

The Power T, the V-O-L-S signs, and the orange and white checkerboard end zones are all unique to Tennessee and synonymous with Tennessee football. The newest addition to Neyland is an update to the press box.

Now, the university has added "Home of the Vols" to the pressbox at Neyland Stadium. This is one of many additions made to Neyland over the past few years as the university continues renovating the stadium.

Some fans are excited about the addition since it is essentially a throwback to the Johnny Majors era of Tennessee football, while others feel it is redundant with the V-O-L-S letters at the end of the stadium.

I don't mind the change, although if they were looking to bring back the Majors-era lettering, I would prefer the orange letters over white.

Some changes social media would like to make are replacing it with "This is Big Orange Country" or "Home of the Volunteers." I think either of those would be great as well, but they all send the same message — opponents are walking into one of the toughest stadiums and most hostile environments with the loudest fans

The new press box lettering will officially debut on August 31 when Chattanooga comes to Knoxville for the Vols' season opener. It will also make its SEC debut when the Florida Gators come to town on October 12.
