Tennessee football has sent some really good players to the NFL in recent years, and they are flourishing into valuable players for their teams. Whether it's rookies Joe Milton or Jaylen Wright or veterans Velus Jones Jr. and Josh Dobbs, the NFL Vols were headlining NFL Preseason Week One.

Former Vols quarterbacks Joe Milton and Hendon Hooker opened the weekend on Thursday night with highlight-worthy performances. Milton threw his first NFL touchdown pass and led the Patriots to victory over the Panthers.

Milton used his legs and arm to move the ball on Thursday night, finishing the game with 22 rushing yards and going four-for-six through the air for 54 yards and a touchdown. Patriots fans are hyping up Milton after his Thursday night performance as the next big thing in New England.

Hendon Hooker also made his long-awaited NFL debut on Thursday night with the Detroit Lions. He also showed off his arm and legs in his debut, with a little truck stick action in the second half.

Hooker landed in concussion protocol by the end of the night but put together a solid performance before exiting the game. He finished the night throwing five-for-nine for 36 passing yards and led the team in rushing with 34 yards.

The Vols rookie running back Jaylen Wright also made some highlight plays for the Miami Dolphins, who are looking to earn consistent reps this season in a loaded running back room. Wright scored his first NFL touchdown and made an insane play to move the chains for the Dolphins on third and long.

Wright scored his first NFL touchdown in the Dolphins' win and finished the night leading the team in rushing with 55 yards and a touchdown. He also made an insane play to move the chains for the Dolphins on third and long.

Former Tennessee standout receiver Velus Jones Jr. has also had a breakout preseason with the Chicago Bears. He has transitioned to running back and has been a cheat code for the Bears in the Hall of Fame Game and Week One of preseason.

He finished Saturday with six carries for 34 yards and a touchdown to help the Bears build their second-half lead and secure the win over the Bills.

Josh Dobbs returned to Tennessee as a San Francisco 49er to take on the Titans and put together one of the best stat lines of the weekend. He finished the game throwing 14-for-20 for 146 passing yards and a six-yard rushing touchdown.

We're only one week into the NFL Preseason, but NFL Vols across the league are showing out early and often. Milton and the Patriots will headline Thursday Night Football for the second straight week as they face the Philadelphia Eagles to kick off Preseason Week Two.
