Predicting the finishing order of each SEC football team in 2024

8. Auburn Tigers

Auburn underperformed in 2023, going 6-7 and losing the Music City Bowl to Maryland, but I like Auburn to take a big jump this season in Year 2 of the Hugh Freeze era. 

Freeze knows what it takes to be successful in the SEC and can take advantage of dozens more resources at Auburn than he had at Ole Miss. AU should win its four non-conference games, plus Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M. 

There are some fringe games that they will have a chance to win, like Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kentucky. The Tigers could be looking at an eight- or nine-win season in 2024.
