Tyre West is Tyler Baron's replacement
The defense probably played almost everybody on the roster today, so it was hard for players to stand out consistently, but Tyre West looked really good today. He logged two TFLs and a sack, Tennessee's only sack of the day.
The defense didn't log many negative plays statistically, but that was more a factor of Chattanooga running a lot of gimmicks that made it hard for Tennessee to get stops behind the line of scrimmage, but West was living back there when he was on the field. James Pearce Jr is going to get a lot of attention, which leaves room for the backside to perform really well, and that's where Tyre West has an opportunity to shine.
