The defense is deep
Tennessee was playing their second and third-string guys on defense during the game's second drive. The coaching staff is confident in their depth and showed it by rotating often and early. In previous years the staff would play defensive depth out of necessity, not out of confidence.
It's already known how deep the defensive line is, but if the linebackers and defensive backs can be legitimately 2-3 deep at each position, the conversation about this team goes straight to championship caliber.
