Tennessee baseball star pitcher Drew Beam has been on a social media tear since the Vols secured its first national championship in program history.

Beam’s girlfriend has caught some unfair flack from Tennessee supporters and others for being a Texas A&M fan. Her dad serves as A&M’s Director of Operations for the baseball program, so of course, she’s a fan, but she also made her support for Beam and the Vols clear throughout the College World Series.

He set the record straight with the haters and gained a ton of support from Tennessee fans and fans of other programs. He called out the haters and stated what they could do if they wanted to continue to hate, respectfully.

He’s also been the loudest supporter of the Tennessee baseball program and head coach Tony Vitello. He reposted his commitment post from 2019 saying, “thankful for the opportunity to be a Vol, best decision I could’ve ever made.”

In his most recent post, after the championship parade, all the celebrations, and everything has calmed, he made a call to action for any recruit in high school or in the transfer portal looking for a college to play for in the future.

That’s a strong, passionate statement from one of Tennessee’s best players. He’s been a Vol since 2019, stayed and developed for four years, and will soon reap the benefits in the MLB Draft.

Zander Sechrist also shared some emotional words about his relationship with Vitello. The Vols pitcher has grown year over year and earned a weekend starter role this year after being a midweek pitcher for three straight seasons.

Vitello also made a strong claim about Cal Stark, who has gotten some hate throughout the season. Vitello said Stark is “his guy,” and the feeling is mutual.

He’s not the only one who has supported Tennessee or Vitello after winning the national championship. VFL Drew Gilbert also posted that hitters looking for real development would be crazy not to choose Tennessee. If they don’t believe him, check the stats.

Vitello is a players coach. He gives his all for Tennessee and his players on and off the field. That’s the epitome of a great coach, and former Tennessee baseball coach Dave Serrano agreed with Beam’s statement on Vitello.

Tennessee is a special place. It has some of the best coaches in the country in multiple major sports, has done a great job preparing and developing players for the next level, and has won a lot of games across all sports in recent years.
