The Tennessee Volunteers move up one spot in Week Two's edition of D1Baseball's Top 25 rankings. The Vols opened the year ranked 9th in the country, and after a solid 5-0 Week Two, the Vols jumped Vanderbilt and moved to No. 8 in the nation.

Tennessee's dominant sweep over Albany this past weekend helped propel the Vols to No. 8, with the help of Vanderbilt's rough week. The Big Orange bats were hot, outscoring the Great Danes 41 to 11.

D1Baseball still has Wake Forest ranked as the best team in the country, with five SEC teams in hot pursuit holding down positions two through eight. Arkansas, LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M continue to impress early in the season. The Vols join Texas A&M, TCU, and Florida as top-10 teams that swept Week Two.

The Commodores went 3-2 during the second week of D1Baseball's rankings. Vanderbilt's loss to Dayton and Gonzaga opened the door for Oregon State, Texas A&M, and Tennessee to all move ahead of the Commodores in the standings.

Tennessee improved to 8-1 as February baseball has now come to an end. The Vols' final matchup of the month was a midweek scare against High Point. Tony Vitello had to dip into his bag of pitchers to ensure the Vols held onto their 7-4 lead to secure the victory. This marks Tennessee's seventh straight win early in the season.

Tennessee kicks off March with a weekend series against Bowling Green on SEC Network+. Due to inclement weather, the team has announced updated start times for Friday and Saturday's games.
