Tennessee football gets a big win on the recruiting trail over conference rivals. The Vols earned the commitment from Charles House to end the week. The four-star defensive lineman out of Huntersville, North Carolina, committed to the Vols over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia.

House announced on X/Twitter on Saturday that he found his "home" in Knoxville, saying, "I'm home Good Ol Rocky Top."

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound defensive lineman is a member of the 2025 recruiting class and is ranked as the 64th defensive lineman in the class according to 247Sports Composite and the 24th defensive lineman by On3 Sports.

House visited Rocky Top on June 14 and announced his commitment to Tennessee a week later. He also visited Athens on June 7 and Tuscaloosa on May 31.

After visiting three of the top SEC programs over the past month, House said Tennessee felt the most like home, and his relationship with the coaches was the reason why he picked the Vols over Georgia and Alabama.

"I chose Tennessee because of my relationship with the staff and the coaches," House told On3 Sports. "It felt like home. I can see myself excelling there, and they can develop me really well."

"I wanted to go somewhere where I am going to fit in," said House, the No. 284 overall prospect and No. 24 defensive lineman in the 2025 On300. "At Tennessee, it felt like it was that right fit."

This is a huge win for Josh Heupel and the Tennessee football program. The Vols are known for their up-tempo, high-powered offense, but Heupel and the coaching staff have put an emphasis on recruiting top defensive talent over the past couple of recruiting cycles.

House is the sixth defensive player in the 2025 class to commit to the Vols, giving Tennessee 13 total commitments heading into July. The 2025 class is currently led by four-star quarterback George MacIntyre from Nashville, Tennessee, as the commitments start to pile up for the Vols.

Other notable commits in the 2025 class include four-star quarterback George MacIntyre, four-star defensive lineman Ethan Outlay, four-star wide receiver Radarious Jackson, four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer, and four-star edge Jayden Loftin.
