Tennessee football is riding the successes of its 69-3 win over Chattanooga in Week One. The Vols were dominant in all phases of the game and received a slight reward in the updated AP Poll as a result.

The Vols came into the season ranked No. 15 in the country, which is good enough for sixth in the SEC behind Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, and Missouri.

Tennessee remains the sixth-highest-ranked SEC team after Week One. The Vols moved up one spot to No. 14, along with most of the rest of the top 25 behind the Vols, excluding LSU.

The Vols also moved up in the Coaches Poll. After Week 1, they were ranked No. 15 in both polls but jumped to No. 12 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.

Georgia and Ohio State remain the top dawgs in the country at No. 1 and No. 2, while Texas and Alabama move up a spot to take No. 3 and No. 4. Notre Dame's road win in College Station moved them up a couple of spots to claim the No. 5 spot in the new AP Poll.

If you remove Florida State from the picture, the LSU Tigers were the biggest fallers in this week's AP Polle. The Seminoles went from No. 10 to unranked after starting the season 0-2. LSU's loss to USC dropped them five spots to No. 18.

USC, on the other hand, is the biggest riser this week. The Trojans' primetime win over the Tigers helped them jump ten spots and leapfrog Tennessee to No. 13.

Tennessee will look to continue climbing the polls as it faces No. 24-ranked North Carolina State on Saturday. The Vols and Wolfpack will kick off at 7:30 PM ET on primetime ABC.
